Change quality: 240 Maximum Yes, you can run a 500MHz AMD K6-2 on a classic Socket 7 motherboard, although this one is overclocked from 450MHz. Be careful, though. Your motherboard needs to support 2.2V CPUs, and that is something largely reserved for very late models from 1998. An Nvidia TNT2 Model 64 also makes a good pairing with a Socket 7 system and is pretty common.
