Today, I'm falling back to more familiar grounds where all the home users would be raving over.

I'll play Quake on the same Packard Bell computer I used to demonstrate the network client startup disk. A single Voodoo2 12MB video accelerator is installed, which accompanies the Cirrus Logic 5464 PCI video card.

After a rather long hiatus from playing first person shooters at all (this happens to me a lot), I decided to see how far I could get in this game on the nightmare skill level in one life. Needless to say, it ended horribly.

Originally, the card was erroneously referred to as an 8MB model. I was going by the listing details when I bought it in 2012, but it turned out it was actually a 12MB model, just with higher density EDO chips.
